International Men's Day 2025

Nov 19, 2025|

International Men’s Day is celebrated annually on the 19th November and is an opportunity to champion the men and boys in our lives.

Recognised worldwide, International Men’s Day shares the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and communities. The day also aims to highlight various issues that many men often face, such as mental health, violence, and discrimination. During the day, we are encouraged to discuss gender equality and the importance of encouraging positive male role models.

Every day of the year, men across the world are silently dealing with their mental health, suicidal thoughts, and the pressure to conform can leave men feeling isolated. Let’s use this day as a starting point to open these conversations, creating safe spaces where men feel heard, seen, and appreciated.

International Men’s Day was first recognised back in the 1960s, but it wasn’t until 1999 that the day was officially acknowledged. Since then, the day is observed in over 80 countries and addresses men’s challenges with mutual understanding.

There are many ways to recognise International Men’s Day, such as having an honest conversation, donating money to men’s health organisations, organise a group activity, or encourage the incredible men in our lives to look after themselves.
